Marie Nečasová

Všechno se jednou probolí (2024) for large orchestra, ca. 10'

Written for and dedicated to Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava

The author of the poem used as the title of the piece is Jan Skácel (1922–1989).

Všechno se jednou probolí

až na vlastní dno a zmizí strach

krásné jsou staré stodoly

prázdné po dávných úrodách

One day, it will all hurt down

To its bottom and fear will stop

How beautiful is an old barn

Empty of all ancient crop

(exclusive translation by  Petr Onufer – all my thanks ✨)

The piece was written as part of an open call for composers, announced by the Janáček Philharmonic in 2024.
